Today, for the first time, Divine introduces to Ikaruga .   Even though she’s never mentioned (Kira) before, he’s somehow learns a lot about her through her name, , by the various stars dotting her trademark, large, magician’s hat, and from her clothes which resemble that of a black Adept Rouge’s combined with a Cursed Knight’s .

She says, “Today, I need a favor from Ikaruga . “

Ikaruga has never had contact with others up until now and has therefore never been asked for a favor .   That lack of experience makes him doubt he’ll be able to meet her expectations .   He says, “…From me?”

takes a step forward and continues, “I want you to accompany us to a place other than this town .   In other words, let’s go to an area . “

“If you want to go to an area, you can get there through a gate .   Don’t bother me for something like that…”

Divine waves her tail, kururi, as she adds, “To be more specific, we’d like to travel through “Ikaruga’s method .  (-ω-)”

Ikaruga doesn’t understand what they mean and returns the question without hesitation .   “My method?”

Divine crouches down and slowly, jiri jiri, walks up to Ikaruga .   She resembles a cat nearing her prey as she says, “You, don’t state area words .   Do you have a clear understanding of area words and their properties?

Ikaruga looks back at the sunset .   After a while, he gives a feeble, “No . “

Divine paces back and forth as she says, “In other words, you’re using a transfer method different from what’s implemented in The World .   This is Ikaruga’s rule .   Once we understand the mechanism, we might be able to find a way for you to return to the Real . ”  She comes to a stop right as she finishes speaking and leaps onto the handrail to look into Ikaruga’s eyes .

Ikaruga thinks about what Divine said .   After a moment, he says despite some hesitation, “…I see .   Except, I don’t know how to transfer with another person . “

“We might be able to transfer together by creating a party with you as the leader . “

Ikaruga, without missing a beat, says, “Why?”

“Party leaders can be followed by party members .   That, however, comes from The World’s system .   We’re going to try and adapt it, although whether it’ll work or not and why…”

gives a soft follow up .   “It’s an experiment that’s ‘worth testing . ‘”

Ikaruga decides to cooperate for those reasons .   He, however, is unable to create a party .

Divine creates the party in his place and designates him as the leader .   She says, “Well, that’s no problem .   I leave this to you .   Just do it the way you always do (-ω-)”

“Yeah…”

They line up before the Chaos Gate and Ikaruga closes his eyes .   Divine once more watches him with her eyes wide open .

Ikaruga says, “What level are you guys?  It’d be a problem if I pick a place that’s too high . “

Divine says, “We’re both at level 80 so you have nothing to worry about (・ω・)b  Go ahead and pick a low area within the server’s upper limit . “

Ikaruga mutters, “80…” at her small boast .   He then adds, “…Then, let’s go .   I’ve picked an area with a level 82, 83 dungeon system . “

“Hold on, why that level…?”

“Because it’s ‘my rule . ‘  I’m beginning the transfer . “

The graphics around them crumble apart at his words .   The black background that appears is filled in with lines .   Divine and have no choice but to step forward into that space, but stop midway .

Ikauga grabs the two by their arms and says, “…I can’t guarantee anything from here on . ” as he leaps straight into the “hole” where the lines break .

There is nothing Divine and can do .   In an instant, they feel that something like an area is appearing in the distance .   That place isn’t their destination .   Ikaruga takes them to a different place in The World .

Ikaruga says, “We’ll be appearing in a dungeon . “

Divine, despite everything happening, has enough awareness to say, “Ye- yeah . “

A spot illuminates before their eyes and then the three are setting foot there .   They appeared in a shine like dungeon .   Instead of landing in the first layer, they are before the gate stationed between the second and third layers .

Ikaruga speaks with a light sigh .   “…It’s pretty exhausting with other people . ”  Divine, however, is too shocked to respond .   “Hey, are you alright?”

is also sorting out what happened .   She can only express herself in a feeble voice .   “…What just happened?”

Divine thinks back to their trip and says, “Most likely, if you don’t specify a word, you travel through that vague space… I think . ”  Words are like addresses, they reveal locations .   That space might fulfil the same conditions of a word through a “ladder lottery” .

The light reflecting off of Ikaruga’s eyes thins as he stares down the corridor .   He says, “…Then, were you able to find anything out about me?”

Divine says, “To an extent .   Right now we’re gathering footage and data .   We’ll figure something out from that . “

“I see…”

They then set off for the beast statue .   Their journey is through a dungeon, yet a battle field never develops .   Instead, they continue past irregular chime balls and vapor doors .

Ikaruga stops walking the moment they reach the fourth layer .   He says, “Speaking of which, what are you going to do about returning?”

“Mn? (・ω・)”

“I can return without a gate .   Are you going to try that too?”

Divine and discuss the offer for a moment before giving light nods .   Divine says, “Yes, please take us .   Just, will we be going through that space…?”

“No, I can instantly move to Mc Anu .   It might be because I have a clear image of it . ”  The tension filling the faces of Divine and drain at his words .   Not having to return to that space must be a relief .

The three people reach the beast statue and transfer without utilizing a gate .   As Ikaruga said, the process is the same as with a normal transfer .

Divine sits down, petari, in a corner of the dome upon transferring to town .   “How- How unexpectedly exhausting…”  While she had thought that only the system transfer was what changed for Ikaruga, the area they visited was also affected .

gives a polite bow as she says, “In any case, thank you very much for today . “

The surprising action prompts Ikaruga into saying, “No, I was also able to have some fun .   That… going with strangers (other people) wasn’t bad . ”  He ends by stating his gratitude, but it comes out in a truly small voice .

T/N: Seriously, Ikaruga reminds me a lot about Tsukasa .   Now, about the last update .   My guess, since the title, “Dreams and Reality” of the previous chapter is really similar to the novel, “Sisters Violated in Dreams and Reality,” Novel Updates must have gotten confused .   In a sense, you could say I broke the internet .   Yay, Gandire!!

Soon after Ikaruga reaches his spot on the bridge, Divine arrives . She says, “Has anything changed since then?”

“Not really . ” He then looks towards Divine as he adds, “Ah… there is one . ”

Divine presses him with her gaze . “Really, what?”

Ikaruga returns her stare with look of helplessness . “You started pestering me more . ”

“I’m worried (`ヘ´)”

Ikaruga’s tone is more him pouting than being angry . “Cat’s fall when they worry too much . ”

A moment of silence passes before Divine says, “Hey, is it alright if I ask you about something a bit painful?”

“What? Why are you being so polite…?”

“You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to . ”

Ikaruga finds himself only able to nod in response to Divine’s sudden seriousness .

Divine says, “After logging out… In other words, your real memories . Do you have any besides those from The World?”

Ikaruga squeezes out the word, “…No . ” He then says, “Like I thought, something is… wrong with me . ”

Divine wipes away Ikaruga’s anxiety, “That’s… not true,” but she herself isn’t in a position to do so . “… I have to apologize, for us at the C . C . Corporation . ”

“You’re, an administrator?”

So he didn’t realize it during my exchange with Haseo . Back then, Divine admitted to being a former employee . “Well, I’m something like one . ” She then lowers her head as she adds, “There’s still a lot that isn’t understood, but we are exploring various methods in order to help you . ”

Ikaruga says, “I don’t know when it happened, but one day the distinction between the Real and The World became blurred . ”

Divine lifts her head upon feeling the resolution backing Ikaruga’s voice . Him speaking his thoughts is rare .

Ikaruga continues, “Back then, I could still log out . I’m positive that was the Real . ” His gaze shifts downward as he tries to reel in the distant memories . “…But then, bit by bit, the Real started to fade . I’ve been here, in The World, ever since . ”

“Do you remember anything about the Real?”

Ikaruga unclenches his right hand and stares at his palm . “…Right now, The World is the Real for me . ” He thought it was strange at first . I was in cyberspace, yet I felt pain while on the net . I became able to feel the breeze blowing through my hair and the freshness of water . My five senses, my very nerves themselves, have been converted into data . There’s got to be an explanation, but what?

Ikaruga lets out a, “…ha”

“Hm?”

He clenches his fist as he says, “I… am Ikaruga . There is nothing more than that . I no longer know whether The World is reality or fantasy . ” He gaze falls upon the sunset as he gives up on that trail of thought . He mocks himself by saying, “I sometimes think… that this is just a dream . That the real me is just sleeping . ”

The thought,There’s nothing I can do about myself who won’t wake up, makes him miserable .

Divine lowers her head and says, “…I’m sorry . ”

“This doesn’t have anything to do with you . Even if you apologize… nothing will change . ”

Regardless, Divine doesn’t lift her head . Ikaruga sighs and lifts her up . The unexpected act of being brought up to his face makes her stiffen . He looks straight into her eyes and says, “What am I supposed to do if you get depressed? Comforting others isn’t one of my strong points…”

He then speaks a command, but the tone is surprisingly gentle . “That’s why, you don’t have the privilege of getting depressed… Got it?”

Divine gives a resolute nod as she laughs .

Ikaruga and Divine have spent a long time together, but they exist on different time axes . His loneliness will not disappear regardless of how much they talk with each other .

I don’t know if this is a dream or reality, but I’m certain of that feeling .

Divine leaves Ikaruga’s side after a while .   He relishes the peace now that the noise has left, but at the same time, feels a dim sense of loneliness .   Even though being alone is normal for him, he’s overcome by a strange emptiness .

杭州桑拿

Ikaruga grumbles a complaint for the first time as he watches the sunset .  “Really, that woman… she’s to nosey . ”  His voice is so soft, no one hears him .

A fidgety harvest cleric[1] chases after an adept rouge .

“Pl- please, wait a minute~”

“Totto and clear[2]…  This was nothing more than a trial run .   You have my gratitude for keeping me company during this pursuit . “

Their initial movement speeds makes the creation of a gap between the two inevitable .

Ikaruga glances towards the clamor, but then immediately returns his gaze onto the sunset .

The adept rouge nitpicks as he walks past Ikaruga .   “Geez… I guess I’m ready for that quest with those Moon Tree guys .   All for the sake of the guild…”

Jii… Jijii…—

A thought runs across Ikaruga’s eyes .   It’s more of a sound, like a noise .  Overwhelming pain brings Ikaruga down onto a knee .   His surroundings sway as though he’s being assailed by vertigo .   He clenches his eyes shut to try and wait out the feeling .

The harvest cleric notices Ikaruga’s condition and runs over to him .  “He- hey, are you alright?”  Ikaruga lacks the composure to respond and remains hunched over on the ground .   Regardless, the harvest cleric continues speaking to him .   The harvest cleric then says, “Haseo-san… something’s wrong with this person . “

The adept rouge stops and turns around .   “He’s just exhausted from overplaying . “

“But… . ah,” The harvest cleric backs away as Ikaruga slowly rises onto his feet .

Ikaruga grips the handrail and turns to the black adept rouge, the PC the harvest cleric called Haseo .  “…Terror, of Death .   Ske…ith . “

Haseo’s eyes widen at those words .   “Huh!?”  It’s their first meeting, but Ikaruga is speaking of a name only a few people know about .   It isn’t an alias, but the name of an overshadowing god[3] .

Ikaruga is still afflicted by the noise .   It results in him speaking in broken intervals . “That’s, right… You’re the… Terror of Death . “

Haseo snaps at Ikaruga .   He doesn’t care that Ikaruga’s eyes are blank and unfocused or that Ikaruga can only stand by clinging to the handrail .   He says, “Hey, how do you know about Sole?[4]  Are you part of C . C . ?  Tell me, or I’ll—”

“He~y, coming through,” Divine lands on Haseo’s head and hops off .   “Sorry ’bout that . “

Haseo’s patience breaks .   He grabs Divine by her tail before she can land and says, “You chibi-neko!  Don’t use people as stepping stones!”

Divine mutters to herself, “Uwah, I’ve been called chibi-neko by two people…”  She then says, “Sorry about that, but this is an emergency .  So (-人-) how about letting it slide?” and yanks her tail free so she can approach Ikaruga .

Ikaruga doesn’t appear to notice her despite breathing on her shoulder .

Divine says, “Ikaruga, can you hear me?  The Terror of Death…”

Ikaruga responds to Divine’s last few word . “A, aah…”  He becomes aware of Divine’s presence and shakes his head to clear away the noise .   Even without the alias, they are somehow able to understand the significance of the [Eight Phases] from Terror of Death[5] .

Haseo glares at Divine, ready to draw his weapon to force an answer from her if needed .   “You bastard, tell me what you know . “

Divine stands up and speaks while raising the corners of her eyes .   “If Yata hasn’t mentioned anything, then this doesn’t concern you .

“Yata…  You’re part of the C . C . Corporation?”

“Well, I was “originally” an employee there, but Ikaruga is different .   Yata’s group doesn’t know much about him either .

The harvest cleric tries to sooth Haseo upon hearing the gist of Divine’s situation .   “Haseo-san, these people also have their own circumstances .   We’re not any different, so…

Haseo makes a light click with his tongue .   He begins to resume his original path while saying, “You know that bastard, Yata?”

“…Actually, we were assigned to different departments .   I don’t think we’ll be able to properly understand each other through just a PC name . “

Neither Haseo’s nor Divine’s lines of sight intersect, but both speak with the same lack of emotion .

Haseo gives a small, “I see,” and turns to resume his quest .   The harvest cleric gives Divine a flustered bow and runs after him .

Once the two are gone, Divine turns to Ikaruga while mumbling, “As expected, the data up intervention must have finished…”

Ikaruga watches the sunset like always now that the noise gone .   He feels as though it subsided with Haseo’s departure .   He releases a deep breath and asks Divine who sits on the handrail, “…What was that just now?”

“Ikaruga, did you see the name of that adept rouge?”

Even though a question is returned to him instead of an answer, he doesn’t get mad .   He gives an honest, “Nope . “

Without wasting any time, Divine throws him a second question .   “Then, you didn’t know that that guy is the PKK Haseo?”

“I don’t know about anything like that .   Just then was the first time I met him . “

“In other words, you shouldn’t be able to know his second name…”

Ikaruga gives Divine a perplexed expression as he says, “What’s that?”

“Don’t you remember anything that happened during the middle of that noise?”

Ikaruga’s gaze drops onto the river .   Its gentle flow reflects its surroundings .   He stares at it with an absent mind as he says, “Ahh, there was a mind numbing pain in my head…  I sorta remember you talking with that guy in black . “

An indescribable anxiety assails Ikaruga .   For the first time, Divine hears him take a vulnerable tone .   “Is there… something wrong with me?”

Divine says, “Don’t worry about it .   Part of the system is unstable right now, but it’ll be repaired before you know it . “

T/N: I translated 呪術士 as harvest cleric out of a guess, but after reading that exchange, I’m starting to wonder if that was Atoli .   Will someone who’s played this game give a verdict??  As for that noise, from my understanding, that was something only Ikaruga could hear . How Divine knew about it, not sure .   It might be that she recognized the symptom .   I’m not sure about all of you, but I imagine that noise as fuzzy static .

-Gandire Alea

1 Like in chapter 2, the class specified in the kanji, 呪術士, doesn’t exist .   I’m again translating it as harvest cleric 呪療士 because their middle kanji somewhat resemble each other .

[2] とっととしろよ…   I have no clue what he’s trying to say with this…

[3] The kanji, 憑神, says possession and god .   I’m interpreting it as a god that possesses others hence my word choice .

4 ソレ I haven’t played the game .   If the name is wrong, let me know and I’ll fix it .

[5] それは二つ名としてではなく、『八相』としての死の恐怖を意味していることが、何故か互いに了解出来た。  This sentence was tricky .

The harvest cleric notices Ikarugas condition and runs over to him .  He- hey, are you alright?  Ikaruga lacks the composure to respond and remains hunched over on the ground .   Regardless, the harvest cleric continues speaking to him .   The harvest cleric then says, Haseo-san… somethings wrong with this person . .

The adept rouge stops and turns around .   Hes just exhausted from overplaying . .

But… . ah, The harvest cleric backs away as Ikaruga slowly rises onto his feet

Ikaruga grips the handrail and turns to the black adept rouge, the PC the harvest cleric called Haseo .  …Terror, of Death .   Ske…ith . .

Haseos eyes widen at those words .   Huh!?  Its their first meeting, but Ikaruga is speaking of a name only a few people know about .   It isnt an alias, but the name of an overshadowing god[3]

Ikaruga is still afflicted by the noise .   It results in him speaking in broken intervals . Thats, right… Youre the… Terror of Death . .

Haseo snaps at Ikaruga .   He doesnt care that Ikarugas eyes are blank and unfocused or that Ikaruga can only stand by clinging to the handrail .   He says, Hey, how do you know about Sole?[4]  Are you part of C . C . ?  Tell me, or Ill—.

He~y, coming through, Divine lands on Haseos head and hops off .   Sorry bout that . .

Haseos patience breaks .   He grabs Divine by her tail before she can land and says, You chibi-neko!  Dont use people as stepping stones!.

Divine mutters to herself, Uwah, Ive been called chibi-neko by two people…  She then says, Sorry about that, but this is an emergency .  So (-人-) how about letting it slide? and yanks her tail free so she can approach Ikaruga

Ikaruga doesnt appear to notice her despite breathing on her shoulder

Divine says, Ikaruga, can you hear me?  The Terror of Death….

Ikaruga responds to Divines last few word . A, aah…  He becomes aware of Divines presence and shakes his head to clear away the noise .   Even without the alias, they are somehow able to understand the significance of the [Eight Phases] from Terror of Death[5]

Haseo glares at Divine, ready to draw his weapon to force an answer from her if needed .   You bastard, tell me what you know . .

Divine stands up and speaks while raising the corners of her eyes .   If Yata hasnt mentioned anything, then this doesnt concern you

Yata…  Youre part of the C . C . Corporation?.

Well, I was originally an employee there, but Ikaruga is different .   Yatas group doesnt know much about him either

The harvest cleric tries to sooth Haseo upon hearing the gist of Divines situation .   Haseo-san, these people also have their own circumstances .   Were not any different, so….

Haseo makes a light click with his tongue .   He begins to resume his original path while saying, You know that bastard, Yata?.

…Actually, we were assigned to different departments .   I dont think well be able to properly understand each other through just a PC name . .

Neither Haseos nor Divines lines of sight intersect, but both speak with the same lack of emotion

Haseo gives a small, I see, and turns to resume his quest .   The harvest cleric gives Divine a flustered bow and runs after him

Once the two are gone, Divine turns to Ikaruga while mumbling, As expected, the data up intervention must have finished….

Ikaruga watches the sunset like always now that the noise gone .   He feels as though it subsided with Haseos departure .   He releases a deep breath and asks Divine who sits on the handrail, …What was that just now?.

Ikaruga, did you see the name of that adept rouge?.

Even though a question is returned to him instead of an answer, he doesnt get mad .   He gives an honest, Nope . .

Without wasting any time, Divine throws him a second question .   Then, you didnt know that that guy is the PKK Haseo?.

I dont know about anything like that .   Just then was the first time I met him . .

In other words, you shouldnt be able to know his second name….

Ikaruga gives Divine a perplexed expression as he says, Whats that?.

Dont you remember anything that happened during the middle of that noise?.

Ikarugas gaze drops onto the river .   Its gentle flow reflects its surroundings .   He stares at it with an absent mind as he says, Ahh, there was a mind numbing pain in my head…  I sorta remember you talking with that guy in black . .

An indescribable anxiety assails Ikaruga .   For the first time, Divine hears him take a vulnerable tone .   Is there… something wrong with me?.

Divine says, Dont worry about it .   Part of the system is unstable right now, but itll be repaired before you know it . .

T/N: I translated 呪術士 as harvest cleric out of a guess, but after reading that exchange, Im starting to wonder if that was Atoli .   Will someone whos played this game give a verdict??  As for that noise, from my understanding, that was something only Ikaruga could hear . How Divine knew about it, not sure .   It might be that she recognized the symptom .   Im not sure about all of you, but I imagine that noise as fuzzy static

-Gandire Alea.

1 Like in chapter 2, the class specified in the kanji, 呪術士, doesnt exist .   Im again translating it as harvest cleric 呪療士 because their middle kanji somewhat resemble each other

[2] とっととしろよ…   I have no clue what hes trying to say with this….

[3] The kanji, 憑神, says possession and god .   Im interpreting it as a god that possesses others hence my word choice

4 ソレ I havent played the game .   If the name is wrong, let me know and Ill fix it

[5] それは二つ名としてではなく、『八相』としての死の恐怖を意味していることが、何故か互いに了解出来た。  This sentence was tricky

Ikaruga mentally goes through his options as though he were discussing them with someone . Upon finishing his “conversation,” he transfers to his chosen area . The situation is similar to that of other PC, but his method of selecting an area is different .

Ikaruga can transfer to another area without speaking a word, an impossible action within The World . This makes following him any further impossible for Divine[1] . She watches him disappear while leaning against a pillar near the door . At the same time, a harvest cleric walks in to the chamber . The harvest cleric says, “Aren’t you going to get attached if you stick to him this much?”

Divine’s tail shakes 2 to 3 times as she says, “I’m just watching from above . I’ve already decided not to interfere with him…”

“Then, if something happens to that child, do you plan on claiming, ‘I didn’t know . ’?”

Divine’s thin, cat like, pupils sharpen to be as thin as a sword as she stares at the gate . She has no response to the harvest cleric’s question . She doesn’t respond because she knows that person is right . Instead, she says, “You really worry too much, (Kira) . I can’t do anything without learning Ikaruga’s position . Don’t forget that maybe, the self-defense program, could be working…”

In a clear field overseen by a blue sky lined with shinning crimson bands stands Ikaruga . He knows neither the area word nor required level for being there . In fact, he’s the only one there . However, since monsters, treasure chests, and beast statues are present, it should be an established field .

Ikaruga takes out an old sword and challenges a monster near a treasure chest . He says, “…Well, will you be killed by me?”

He makes contact with the monster, but the battle area fails to establish itself . The development is just like the R:1 system . Furthermore, the monster freely runs around the map where it eventually gets swallowed up into a herd .

Ikaruga eradicates the monsters[2] . He looks up to the sky and closes his eyes while saying, “…Ah, time to leave . Back to that place…” without going to the beast statue .

He is surrounded by light and transfers away despite no gate being within view . His method of transfer is one independent of gates . It’s a very peculiar ability, but the person himself acts as though it’s only natural .

Ikaruga returns to the town . However, instead of appearing within the dome, he appears at the edge of the bridge . He’s a bit relieved that Divine isn’t there, but the feeling only lasts for half the length of the bridge .

Divine gleefully waits for Ikaruga in his reserved seat . “Welcome back~, did you have fun?”

Ikaruga leans against the bridge’s railing as he says, “…Not in particular . ” He then voices his wonder, “You, have a lot of free time . Are you a NEET?”

“Ikaruga-kun has no right to say that . Haven’t you been logged in the entire time?”

“…You’re no different . ”

“I diligently take breaks whenever you go to an area~ . That’s my job . ”

Ikaruga has trouble accepting her statement . Her behavior until that point led him to think that she’s younger than him . “Your job? Aren’t you just a brat?”

“I’m still in my mid-20s… It’s just that this character is a roll[3](- . -;)”

“…Heh, you’re surprisingly clever . ”

“What do you mean, clever?”

Ikaruga doesn’t reply . Instead, the action is faint, but he relaxes his lips . For the first time, he presents Divine a smile .

Actually calling that a smile is doubtful, but it is a change in his expression . “…Well, please take a break every once in a while . ”

“I’m pretty sure you don’t have any reason to worry about me . ”

Divine hops off the handrail . She speaks while easing her body into facing Ikaruga . “You’re not the one I’m worried for . Continuous usage of the Paso will overheat it and melt its circuits (-w-) Your electrical bill is gonna be stupidly expensive~ . ”

Ikaruga watches the everyday sunset as he says, “That’s true, but it’s still none of your concern . ”

The lack of emotion in his tone makes him sound lonely . Divine stops waging her tail and stares at Ikaruga’s orange haloed profile .

Ikaruga says, “You, said you were interested in me,” without shifting his gaze from the sunset . He is, despite his calmness, listening for her reply .

Divine looks straight at Ikaruga and nods . “…Yep . ”

Ikaruga looks down as he receives her answer . He closes his eyes and says, “…I see . ”

Ikaruga will never tire of watching the sunset . He sits in the same place he always does, on his designated seat on the highest point of Mac Anu’s sole bridge . He heard through rumors in the wind that long ago, another PC also used to sit in that same spot . He has no doubt that that person also enjoyed watching the sunset . I’d like to meet that person .

But, it’ll never happen . Ikaruga has recently learned that that PC stopped logging in . It’s impossible . Regardless, he continues visiting the heavy trafficked bridge . For him, it is the most relaxing place in The World . The way he sits without even trembling could make those passing by think he’s either dozing or AFK .

Ikaruga’s name is surprisingly well known . He’s easily recognized by the fluttering of his wafuku and the hairclip obscuring his eyes from view . [1]He’s also a difficult person to approach thanks to his small fan club, placing him in a similar position to Endurance .

As for Ikaruga’s strength, that is something no one talks about . He is a true, genuine, solo player . He never parties with anyone, nor does he PK . As a result, various rumors have come and gone . Some stated that he’s actually an independent AI or an event character . Ikaruga himself doesn’t really care . He simply appears around the same time every day to watch his favored sunset .

Ikaruga rests his elbows on the handrails as he watches the river . Another peaceful day . He closes his eyes and loses himself to his thoughts .

A female harvest cleric[2]and female therianthrope warlock with catlike features speak to each other on the side of the bridge with the chaos gate . The warlock is fairly small, forcing the harvest cleric to bend down in order to face her .

“Hold on… you can’t ; ;”

The warlock shakes off the harvest cleric’s restraint and runs towards Ikaruga . “He~ki, he~ki (-w-)b” Instead of running, her momentum makes her look like she’s charging .

The warlock leaps once she’s 1 meter away from Ikaruga and lands on the handrail in front of him . He jumps back at her sudden appearance . The surrounding PC gather to watch . Each of them is surprised that Ikaruga moved . The warlock then plops herself down on the handrail right in front of Ikaruga .

The harvest cleric can only hold her head at the scene . Members of the public watch from afar . Among them are members of Ikaruga’s fan club . They watch with keen interest . Out in the real world, the female players probably have their fingers hovering over the SS key .

After a few moments pass, Ikaruga speaks first . “…Hey . ”

The warlock points her ears towards Ikaruga, but otherwise, doesn’t move . The action may have irritated him because he draws his sword .

The warlock finally speaks . “How daangerous…”

“That’s my spot . Scram, chibi-neko[3] . ”

Ikaruga glares at the warlock with his blue eyes as he thrusts the tip of his sword towards her . Silence = cool, however, isn’t always the paradigm . The warlock narrows her eyes at Ikaruga’s form and for some reason becomes relieved . She says, “That’s great . Looks like you’re “alive” . ”

Ikaruga sheathes his sword as her meaningless comment douses his fighting spirit . “Ha? …Well obviously . ”

“I, am interested in you . Please keep me company for a bit…”

Ikaruga gives a sharp, “Not happening . ”

“Then, let me watch you . ”

“…You… Fine, if you’re just going to watch, then that makes you no different from everyone else . ” He then glances over his shoulder towards his fan club .

She shocks many members of the fan club members by saying, “Thanks, (o ~_^)b”

“Although, they might end up getting in your way . ”

“I’m good *2 . I can watch just fine as long as you stay in the open~ . ”

“…Haa . ”

Since then, whenever Ikaruga goes to the bridge, the warlock appears at his side . Neither of them speak to each other, they just watch the sunset . The only real change is the envy that can sometimes be found within the eyes of his fan club…

And so, 1 week passes .

Ikaruga goes to a leveling area, but the warlock doesn’t appear . Or, more accurate, she couldn’t go there . She can only observe Ikaruga on the highest point of Mac Anu’s bridge .

After that one week, Ikaruga finally says, “…So, I still haven’t heard your name . ”

Confusion washes over the warlock’s face . She points towards the sky above her head and says, “It should be right here~ . I thought you didn’t ask because you can see it?”

“…There’s nothing there . ”

“Maybe it somehow became hidden? You’re somewhat like a beginner…”

Ikaruga mumbles a short soliloquy . “…Maybe it isn’t hidden, but instead it just left . ”

The warlock, unable to hear him, leans forward and says, “What’s that~?”

Ikaruga separates from the handrail and walks for the gate . He says, “Nothing, thinking about it, I’m fine not knowing your name . ”

The warlock calls out to Ikaruga, “How strange, going hunting at a time like this~ . ” He, however, continues without a word . All that can be heard is the faint ringing of the return bell . The warlock releases a small sigh and then shouts, “I’m ! Don’t forget it (`o’)”

Ikaruga’s head flinches at those words .

Cowboys expecting NRL attention from Scott

Twelve months after Beau Scott earned North Queensland’s ire, the Cowboys admit they are bracing for a repeat of the backrower’s roughhouse tactics on Johnathan Thurston on Saturday night.

杭州桑拿

But Cowboys coach Paul Green has all but dared Scott to target his co-captain, saying Thurston is primed to make him pay for his aggression.

A livid Green called on the NRL to offer more protection for playmakers after Scott manhandled Thurston in Newcastle’s round two win over North Queensland last year.

Thurston was left with a black eye after Scott hit him without the ball before tipping the star half on his head in a tackle.

Fast forward a year and Eels signing Scott again has Thurston in his sights ahead of Saturday night’s Parramatta showdown – and don’t North Queensland know it.

Asked if he expected more of the same from Scott, Green said curtly: “Yep”.

However, Green hinted that Thurston was ready to have the last laugh over the new Eels enforcer.

“The backrower’s job is to pressure ball players,” Green said.

“But if he wants to put himself out of the defensive line Johnno is good at making good decisions on who to pass to – we will see what happens.”

Asked if he wanted referees to protect Thurston, Green said: “Same as every other week.”

Green is already cranky after complaining about Cronulla’s controversial tactics in last weekend’s NRL season-opening win over the Sharks.

Several players including co-captain Matt Scott had to miss training sessions during the week ahead of the Eels clash due to injuries sustained by Cronulla’s dubious tactics.

Only Cronulla playmaker James Maloney received a warning from the NRL over a “cannonball” tackle on North Queensland’s James Tamou.

All players were cleared to play the Eels with Matthew Wright called in as 18th man as a precaution.

Cowboys pivot Michael Morgan admitted the forwards were out to offer more protection to Thurston against Scott this weekend.

“Hopefully, but I will leave that for the big boys,” Morgan said.

“He (Scott) is an aggressive player and likes to put a lot of pressure on the halves.

“He goes out of his way to do that for his team.

“But Johnno is used to it though.

“Teams target him each week and he seems to have been able to handle it this long.”

Trump comes under fire from rivals

US Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has come under fire from his rivals for saying Muslims hate the United States at a debate that was relatively free of the gut-punching attacks that have dominated past encounters.

杭州桑拿

Trump, the front-runner who could tighten his grip on the Republican presidential nomination battle if he wins Florida and Ohio on Tuesday, defended his belief, as stated in television interviews, that followers of Islam “hate us”.

“We have a serious problem of hate. There is tremendous hate,” Trump said.

But Trump’s rivals, Senator Marco Rubio of Florida, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Ohio Governor John Kasich said the United States needs to maintain good relations with Muslim countries in the Middle East to help in the fight against Islamic State militants.

“We are going to have to work with people in the Muslim faith even as Islam faces a serious crisis within it,” Rubio said.

Kasich, looking to win his home state of Ohio on Tuesday in order to keep his candidacy going, said Middle Eastern allies in the Arab world are essential.

“The fact is if we’re going to defeat ISIS, we’re going to have to have those countries,” he said, citing Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt.

Trump said he would consider as many as 40,000 US troops on the ground in the region to help defeat Islamic State, saying he would complete the mission quickly and bring them home to focus on rebuilding the United States.

The CNN-hosted debate took place at a crucial time, days before primary votes in Florida and Ohio that could catapult Trump even further despite an intense anti-Trump movement by establishment Republicans who are trying to deny him the party’s presidential nomination.

Both the Florida and Ohio Republican primaries award delegates on a winner-take-all basis, meaning that the winner of the popular vote is awarded the state’s entire slate of delegates, making a victory in either state a big prize.

The two-hour debate included a sober discussion of pressing challenges from illegal immigration to reform of Social Security to free trade deals, a marked departure from the finger-pointing schoolyard taunts that the candidates have engaged in past debates.

Trump got a fresh injection of campaign momentum on Thursday with plans by rival Ben Carson, who is popular with conservatives, to endorse him.

Trump said Carson, a retired neurosurgeon who dropped out of the race March 4 after failing to gain traction in early voting states, would endorse him on Friday at an event in Florida.

The endorsement could help Trump settle the nerves of those conservative voters who have doubts about whether he truly is one of them.

Merkel says Iraqis starting to return home

German chancellor Angela Merkel says around 3,000 migrants are leaving Germany to return home to Iraq every month and the number is on the rise.

杭州桑拿

The German leader says Iraqis are returning to cities recaptured by government forces from the self-proclaimed Islamic State, or IS.

It comes as the European Union remains divided over the humanitarian crisis, with Balkan countries shutting their borders to people and closing a major route from Greece to Germany.

As tens of thousands of migrants and refugees wait for entry into Europe, German chancellor Angela Merkel says a growing number are making the reverse journey.

Speaking at an election campaign event, she has told the crowd thousands of Iraqis are leaving Germany every month.

(Translated)”At the moment, 3,000 are returning to Iraq every month, for example, and it’s an upward trend, when their cities are liberated from IS, because they say, ‘This is where we can live with our families in peace.’ Some go back to their families who are not yet here and who might not be able to come for a long time. That means, it is not the case that all refugees will stay here. We must also prepare them for a life back in their home countries.”

Many migrants and refugees are living in shelters and are frustrated with a slow asylum process.

Germany is struggling to work through a backlog of asylum applications after 1.1 million people arrived last year.

Ms Merkel, who will soon face elections, has repeatedly said there would be a slowdown in the number of people coming to Germany.

Her speech comes as Slovenia, Croatia and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia have shut their borders to asylum seekers.

The so-called Balkan route from Greece up to Germany and Scandinavia is now closed, leaving people like Afghan man Ahmad Reza stranded on the borders.

“Our lives were in danger. The family, all members, we were threatened with death by the Taliban. We came to find a secure, stable and peaceful security, a peaceful country. We would like to cross the Macedonian border to go to the German country.”

Ms Merkel has criticised the Balkan states for closing their borders.

She says, while the measure will reduce the number of people arriving in Germany, it puts too much pressure on Greece.

The European Union is still looking to finalise a deal with Turkey that seeks to ease that pressure.

On Monday, Turkey agreed in principle to take back all people reaching Europe after passing through Turkey — in exchange for additional aid to pay for their care.

United Nations human rights chief Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein has warned the deal with Turkey must comply with human rights obligations.

“I urge the EU to adopt a much more rights-compliant and humane set of measures on migration at next week’s summit. International guarantees protecting human rights may not be sidestepped, or diluted. Any returns of people must be in conformity with international human rights standards. Arbitrary and prolonged detention must be avoided.”

Japan to showcase submarine to Australia in joint military exercises

The race to build Australia’s next submarine fleet has narrowed to France’s state-controlled naval contractor DCNS, and Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and Kawasaki Heavy Industries, touting a variant of their Soryu product.

杭州桑拿

The Soryu submarine and two military frigates will conduct exercises with the Australian Navy in the seas around Sydney, Japan’s Ministry of Defence said in a notice on Thursday, before they return home on April 26, following an 11-day trip.

Australia’s defence department confirmed the exercises, but declined to say which vessels would participate.

The 4,000-tonne Soryu faces off against a diesel-electric version of France’s 5,000-tonne nuclear-powered Barracuda.

Japan’s lobbying effort comes on the heels of a visit last week by French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian to Adelaide, the home of Australia’s ship building industry.

“By bringing the Soryu, it is demonstrating its range and then it gives the Australian navy the chance to exercise with it, including the opportunity to benchmark it against its existing Collins-class submarines,” said Euan Graham, director of the international security program at the Lowy Institute.

France is likely to broach its offer to build the new submarine fleet when its largest business grouping, Mouvement des Entreprises de France, visits Australia’s capital next week.

Germany’s ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems TKAG.DE (TKMS) has lost ground because of technical concerns, several sources said this year.

Australia’s fleet of 12 new submarines is a key component of its defence plan. Last month, Australia announced plans to boost its defence spending by nearly A$30 billion ($22 billion) over the next decade, as it looks to protect its strategic and trade interests in the Asia-Pacific region.

Australia is caught in a delicate position, as it is keen to maintain its relationship with both the United States and China, while tension rises between the two over the South China Sea.

“There is an enormous amount of pressure for Australia to go with Japan, because of the message that will send Beijing,” said James Curran, professor of foreign policy at the University of Sydney.
